Hinsdale Troop 52 
Troop 52 is a division of Scouting America, who offer and encourage effective citizenship and the building of character. As a troop, we utilize the resources we have as well as participate in many different activities such as campouts to support our Scouts on their journey to the Eagle rank. Our Troop is chartered by the Hinsdale United Methodist Church, and meetings are held every Sunday with exceptions. (Check the Calendar for more information.)
Our troop has a long tradition of developing Eagle Scout graduates through strong leadership, dedicated Eagle coaching, and a supportive troop culture.
Troop 52 has regular campouts. Past campouts have focused on camping, hiking, canoeing, cooking, and other activities that relate to Scouts. Each summer we attend a week-long summer camp as well as other various camps throughout the school year.
Merit badges are awards earned by youth members of the Scouting America, based on activities within an area of study by completing a list of periodically updated requirements. The purpose of the merit badge program is to allow Scouts to examine subjects to determine if they would like to further pursue them as a career or a vocation.
